GOOD LUCK HOLSTEINS!

Attention HS Parents:
In regards to W.I.N. time at the HS, all-calls will go out on Friday that will state your child has received a slip to attend W.I.N. time on a specified day for a specified subject stated in the message from 8:00-8:20. Tuesday is Math, Wednesday is Science, Thursday is English, and Friday is Social Studies. If you have more than one child at the HS, please ask them for the yellow W.I.N. slip that was given to them by their teacher. This will let you know which one of your students has been asked to attend W.I.N. time. If your child needs to attend multiple days, you will receive a separate all-call for each subject area. If there are any questions about the W.I.N. slip, please contact the teacher that gave your student the slip. Thank you for all of your support!

February has come to an end and we are welcoming March with open arms! Please see the February "Moo-Rific" News for highlights from February and pay special attention to the March Important Dates!

Parent-Teacher Conferences have been moved to Tuesday, March 15 instead of March 10. PVE parents, the times you signed up for the 10th has been switched over to the 15th.

Friday, March 11 Early-Out at 2:30PM as we have an opportunity to host a speech meet and need time to prep the classrooms for this event.

**UPDATED - NOTE: Championship game is THURSDAY, MARCH 10th not March 11!**
2022 Region 5 Boys Basketball Bracket Click the link to view PDF version: https://5il.co/16cgh The boys will play their first game on March 7th at 4:30 versus Standing Rock

Parents, I know the drop off and pick up point for PVE students is not ideal but please refrain from stopping in the cross-stop area to pick up/drop off your children. This leads to congestion for other vehicles as well as a potential hazard with the younger kids that bolt across the street.
Thank you for your understanding!

UPDATE: THIS IS FOR 7-12th GRADE STUDENTS
Dear Parents,
Starting the first week of March, we will be implementing a W.I.N. time Tuesday through Friday from 8:00-8:20 for each specific content area. Students who must attend will be given a W.I.N. slip the week prior, but it is also open to students who want extra help or need make-up work from absences. Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Kautzman will also be there daily for additional support so more students can succeed in their academic endeavors.
If your child receives a W.I.N slip, they will bring home a yellow carbon copy for you. It will tell you why they received it, what subject area, and what day they need to attend. In addition, you will also receive an all-call the week prior.
If students have an unexcused absence from W.I.N time, they will make it up during their lunch period. For students who have three unexcused W.I.N. times in a row, the school will notify parents, so you are aware your child has not been attending. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the W.I.N. Slip, don't hesitate to contact the teacher your child was requested by.
W.I.N. Time provides students the opportunity to:
• Complete assignments
• Practice presentations
• Study for tests & quizzes
• Receive help from a teacher
• Make progress on long-term assignments
• Collaborate with classmates on group assignments
• Reduce homework
• Improve skills in a specific area
W.I.N. Time will be required for students who:
• Are missing/behind on work
• Failing a content area
• Need intervention
• Teacher Discretion
