Varsity Football Game Streaming:
The district has received questions about broadcasting football games via the NFHS network. The NFHS cameras in the gym have a quality picture and allow more fans to cheer on our teams. The NFHS cameras at football fields, however, lack the same quality. The biggest reason the wiring at Gaebe Field has not been updated to accommodate NFHS cameras is once the NFHS agreement is signed, we cannot utilize other companies to stream our football games during playoffs. The PSP network and other streaming services that offer play-by-play services along with the ability to zoom in and offer high quality viewing will not be able to be used if the NFHS agreement is signed.
We are looking at utilizing a livestream for our home varsity football games and perhaps JH/JV as well but need to make sure the logistics are ironed out, including someone to video the game and a spot in the crow's nest.
The Beulah radio station will be broadcasting the first home game. The community will be notified when the games are available via a livestream platform and/or radio. We appreciate your patience and continued support of our students on and off the field.

The high school gym will be closed this Saturday due to the installation of the new gym pads.

Mr. Feiring in his new "digs". It will be awhile before we can access the shop but at least we have the classroom.

Welcome Back!
With school starting tomorrow (Tuesday), bus drivers should have contacted you by now, with a few exceptions as we had the incorrect phone numbers for a couple of families. Mr. Kleinjan and Mr. Vander Wal will be taking over Wayne Holle's route. Gregg Klusmann will be driving Mr. Kleinjan and Mr. Vander Wal's old route. Otherwise, we have the same drivers as last year.
In-town busing route and riders have been established, we will pick up the students on Spruce and 7th street between 7:55AM-8:05AM, right beside the new playground. The Spruce and 4th St. stop will be alongside Acton's house between 7:55AM and 8:05AM. Due to the large number of students riding on these routes, we will pick up the students that are at the stop and drop off the ones that get on the buses. We will have plenty of staff to help direct students to the right buses after school this week and in-town drop offs will take place around 3:20PM. If your son/daughter will not be riding the in-town bus, you do not need to contact the school or bus driver. I'm fielding a lot of great questions so please call or email Brian.Christopherson@k12.nd.us with any questions or concerns.
Finally, remember not to drop off/pick-up students by the elementary's intersection or in the area indicated by bus only signs.

I have contacted all parents that have emailed me regarding utilizing the in-town busing. If you haven't done so already, please email Brian.Christopherson@k12.nd.us with your name, child(ren)'s name, and contact number.

PRESCHOOL SELECTIVE SCREENING
Do you have a child or know of a child who is not developing skills at the same rate as other children his/her age? If so, a developmental screening is available for children 3, 4, and 5 years of age free of charge. The screening includes a brief review of the following developmental areas: Basic Concepts - (counting, color identification, etc.), Language - (understanding and using words), Speech - (sound production), Fine Motor - (prewriting, cutting, etc.), Gross Motor - (catching, jumping, etc.), Vision, and Hearing.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s rate of development in these areas, or would like to schedule a screening appointment, please contact your local school district, or Deb Tibor, Morton-Sioux Special Education Unit Programs Coordinator at 701-751-6500 regarding screening dates.

Attention NSA Parents: If you need assistance or support getting school supplies for your child, please reach out to Sherri Hulm or Lauren Bennett in PVE office. We have options to assist you in getting your child ready for school!

The PVE playground will be sprayed for mosquitos tonight between 7 and 8 p.m. tonight the 16th. Please refrain from playing on the playground until after 6 p.m. tomorrow the 17th. Thank you!

Last night the School Board approved in-town bus stops on Spruce Avenue at 4th street and 7th street before and after school as a trial period which will be reviewed again in December, This will be available for grades K-12 and for students who would be riding the bus every morning and/or afternoon. Even though legally school districts are not liable until students get on the bus, we felt it was important to have a consistent list of students riding so we can make sure we have enough space on the buses. We will narrow down pick-up times in the morning and will share that with the parents that sign up. After school, students would be dropped off at 3:20PM. This is new and we are still working out some details so please bear with us.
Call the school at 843-7711 or 843-7610 with any questions. Email Brian.Christopherson@k12.nd.us to let me know the following:
Name of parent(s), name of student(s), contact number(s), and which street your children will be picked up/dropped off at; either 4th street or 7th street. This will also give me a way to communicate the morning pick-up time as well as share a document that will state the expectations that the school has regarding this new policy.
