Fitness Center is online finally!
On April 23 we lost our connection to the fitness center, meaning we could no longer make or update key fobs. We also lost the connection to the surveillance cameras, which ensure everyone is safe and to help prevent vandalism.
When the system went down, we thought we were less than 6 weeks away from having everything up and running, however due to supply chain problems as well as subcontractors being spread too thin, this went on way too long. We brainstormed on what we could do but with the cameras down, our options were limited. Our plan was to keep the fitness center open manually, but this didn't work as planned either. We did not want to advertise that the fitness center was open because the cameras were down, so it was difficult to explain the entire situation without literally opening the door to everyone. For those of you who called, thank you as we could discuss our situation.
Many of you were not affected because your fob was entered into the system before April 23, however for people who were affected, we will be looking over the applications in the next two weeks to extend your membership according to the amount of time you were unable to access the fitness center. If you have any questions about your account, please call 843-8710.

The volleyball matches versus Napoleon on Thursday, September 28 will be broadcast on BEK and the NFHS Network.

Last night I received word from the F.B.I. that a possible threat was made to the school via social media. With cooperation from the Morton County Sheriff's Office and the F.B.I. we were able to determine that it wasn't made to our school. Law enforcement reached out to the other county where the threat was directed. Though this was a low-level threat, law enforcement did a great job of getting it resolved.
Any threat about a school will be taken seriously and come with consequences. Working together, we need to continue to talk with kids about the importance of using social media appropriately and refraining from posting something that they will regret. Please contact Mr. Christopherson with any questions.

The JV FB game for tonight has been canceled. The JH game will start at 5:00 p.m. as planned.

The third graders got to take a little field trip and go pick some pumpkins, potatoes, squash, and apples for their farmers market. They’ve been working very hard to get this all set up and we can’t wait to see everyone on Monday, September 18th from 3:30 to 4:30 and Wednesday, September 20th from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Security First parking lot. Please come on out and support our third graders as they raise money for the PVE playground fund. Thank you to everyone who has already donated fruits and vegetables to our third grade farmers market. If you have any produce that you would like to donate, please let Savannah Norton or Tya Schiele know before Monday afternoon. You can drop them off at the elementary school or contact either teacher to set up a time to get them picked up or dropped off before the sale on Monday.
