Elementary Round Robin Tournament, Flasher High School, September 24, 2022 A tournament for elementary girls has been scheduled for September 24th at Flasher High School. The main purpose of this Round Robin tournament is to allow this age group to get more playing experience. 1.	The four teams in the round robin tournament will be New Salem/Almont, Grant County, Flasher, and Glen Ullin/Hebron. 2.	We will play regular six-minute quarters with 1 minute between quarters and a 5-minute half time. 3.	Overtime periods will be 3 minutes in length. 4.	No pressing—defenses should be no more than half court. 5. There will 5-minute warm ups once the tournament has started. 7.	The first games will begin at 9 a.m. CT. After that we will continue through the games with 5-minute warm-ups. Times listed on the round robin tournament schedule are approximate times. 8.	This round robin tournament is played to give kids playing time. If you need to play a 5th grader with the 6th graders to have a team, that’s fine. Just be sure that all of the kids get to play. a.	When sending your rosters, please specify which team each student athlete will play on. b.	Rosters need to include the students name, number and grade level. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be a chip sealing company working on Oak Avenue during the school day. I was told by the company that during the morning drop-off and the afternoon pick-up they will not be working on that part of the street between the schools so we can continue our normal routine.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make split-second decisions before overwhelming crowds of people, sitting on the edge of their seats, knowing that your call is the most important call of the night? If you have not, maybe you would like to experience line judging for volleyball matches. We currently are in need of qualified individuals to help at our home matches. The pay is good, the experience even better. This extra duty, when listed on resumes, has helped push the tide in favor of the applicant. Job promotions are unlimited, with the possibility of moving to libero tracker, clock operator, possibly even one day of keeping the official volleyball scorebook! Even greater professional opportunities exist, if you are interested, with the possibility of becoming an official. If interested, contact Jerome.Slag@k12.nd.us.
