Today, New Salem-Almont had it's first D.A.R.E. graduation. This program was taught to the 7th Graders where it promoted positive choices and gave students techniques to handle difficult situations.
Our D.A.R.E. instructor is Deputy Tommy who has built a great rapport with the students at New Salem-Almont is a very positive influence within our school climate.
The Administration is very proud of this program and our students for being the first to complete it.
Upon completion of the program, Deputy Tommy had the students write an easy on what D.A.R.E. means to them. The winner was Rebecca Reiner. He awarded the outstanding participants to Cloe Gniffke and Zoe Robinson.
Congratulations to all of our 7th Graders in a job well done.

Learning at NSA is not just done in a desk, today was a great example of how students take knowledge they learn in the classroom and incorporate it into a real-life connection. Today, some of the 3rd graders applied their knowledge of the scientific method into the egg drop challenge.
This STEM challenge had students design a contraption to prevent an egg from breaking using materials found at home. The contraptions were dropped from the roof of the PVE school, and all 12 eggs did not break. Awesome job 3rd grade!

PVE is looking for books! If you have any books you are willing to donate to PVE for our BINGO For Books each month, please bring them to PVE and drop them off in the office. We are looking for all levels of books, so anything would help! Thank you so much for your support!
