Please review the following documents regarding the Food Service for the 2021-2022 school year. The USDA has extended the free school meals program through the new school year!
Free and Reduced applications will still be accepted. If you would normally submit an application for free or reduced meals, or if your income is down this year, please fill out the income application. The October 31 free and reduced numbers directly affects our school district in calculation of foundation aid, e-rate for technology grants, other grants and Title I funding.

At the June board meeting this Monday, the Board will be putting a plan into place on how to best utilize the ESSER II dollars of $189,311.00. In order to help guide us, there is a link below to offer feedback. The ESSER II plan is due June 30 to the state.
We will also use this feedback as we put together a plan for the ESSER III dollars in July or August-depending on state guidance. Learning loss is a key component of ESSER dollars so all districts must keep that in mind when determining how to spend the federal money.

You will be able to earn badges by “leveling” up and completing activities. Hundreds of schools across the nation will encourage their communities to read a target number of minutes and books.
Mark Cuban is generously supplying cash prizes and Thorndike Press will donate prize packs that allow schools to build their large print collections.
Every elementary student who completes their challenge will win a “mystery” prize pack.
Every student at the high school who completes the challenge will be entered to win 1 of 2 prize packs, valued at $30!
If you have any questions or need your login information, contact Mrs. Hausauer at Kristina.hausauer@k12.nd.us.
Happy reading, Holsteins!
